Sawubona Creativity Project

Theatre For Performance Art & Education

We believe in the transformative power of arts education as a catalyst for creating supportive spaces. Our commitment extends beyond just teaching artistic skills; we see the arts as a means to foster essential interpersonal skills. Our goal is to create a space where diversity of thought, creativity, and wellness can be amplified through arts education and performance.

Sawubona-(sah-woo-boh-na)  Zulu greeting:

“I see you and I allow myself to discover your needs, to see your fears, to identify your mistakes and accept them. All my attention is with you. I accept you for what you are; you are part of me”

Unleash your creativity through theatre arts performance and education

There is the Land of the Quiet where we meet Bodie, a 9-year-old boy, who wants nothing more than to escape the land of the quiet and face his fears. Filled with songs, interactive sensory materials for each audience member to experience the story as it is happening, and lots of magic, this new show by Philly Children's Theatre is truly for the whole family.
